It’s Lemonade Day at Lester Glenn! Join us at one of our Toms River showrooms on Saturday, July 11th and stop by one of the lemonade stands to help support our young entrepreneurs!

In case you haven’t heard of it, Lemonade Day is an experiential learning program that teaches kids the basics of entrepreneurship by letting them run their own lemonade stand. Each child that registers receives an Entrepreneur Workbook that teaches them the 14 lessons of Lemonade Day – creating budgets, setting profit-making goals, and giving back to the community to name a few – that they can utilize while running their lemonade stand. They keep all the money they make and are encouraged to spend some, save some and share some.

 

The main goal of Lemonade Day is to teach kids about becoming productive members of society while taking ownership of their own lives. It’s intended to instill a sense of character and self esteem so that they’ll have the life skills needed to lead a successful life.

 

Lemonade Day was founded in 2007 in Texas by Michael Holthouse on the concept that today’s youth has the optimism and drive to be successful, but they lack mentorship and real-world experience necessary to make it happen. The launch and implementation of Lemonade Day sought to give kids the tools required to be a fruitful entrepreneur. Since it’s launch, Lemonade Day has grown from serving 2,700 kids in one city to over 800,000 children across North America. With the help of partners like Google for Entrepreneurs, Lemonade Day will continue to spark the spirit of entrepreneurship and empower youth to set goals, work hard, and achieve their dreams.

 

We’ll have Lemonade Stands set up at our Chevrolet, Hyundai, Buick GMC, Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Mazda, and Subaru showrooms in Toms River.
