Hurricane Harvey: It’s Our Turn to Help

“Stronger than the Storm” is a phrase New Jerseyans are very acquainted with, especially here in Ocean County. While it was almost five years ago that Superstorm Sandy made its way to our shores, it still feels like yesterday for many in our area. The news and images coming out of Texas are all too familiar for all of us at the Jersey Shore. Between the glaring weather forecasts and the ominous evacuation orders, the lead-up, duration and now aftermath of Hurricane Harvey resonates with our community in a way that nobody else could quite understand. That’s why the Lester Glenn family is coming together to support those in Texas, the same way we came together to help our own five years ago.

Starting now through Monday, September 4th, for every car sold, Lester Glenn Auto Group will donate $50 to Hurricane Harvey Relief, with a minimum donation of $20,000. All of the money will go towards helping evacuees in the affected areas with personal hygiene products, clothing and food. We know how important help is, whether big or small, and we want to do our part to make sure as many people as possible have what they need.

After Superstorm Sandy ravaged our beaches and washed away our homes, we saw unity as we never saw it before. We quickly realized how strong people can be when they work together and how fast things can get done when we all contribute. Loyal customers and Lester Glenn employees alike experienced Sandy in one way or another and without the support of our community, it would have been that much harder to make it through. The lessons we learned during that difficult time have inspired us to pay it forward and even if we only help one person, we are positive it will go a long way. Through all of the uncertainty and the tragedy, one thing is for certain: people helping people is a powerful, timeless thing. Together, we can help make Texas Jersey Strong.
