Lester Glenn Auto Group Partners with Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation

Lester Glenn Auto Group is proud to announce our partnership with the Stephen Siller Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation. Beginning on September 1st, Lester Glenn Buick GMC will be donating $50 for every vehicle sold throughout the entire month. Every dollar will benefit the foundation, our first responders, and members of our Armed Services. This is just one small way of showing our everlasting gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices our service men and women have made for our freedom.

_MG_0891-X2Since it was founded in 2001, Tunnel 2 Towers has developed a number of programs that have changed the lives of countless military heroes, their families, and the entire community. One of their biggest and most influential programs is Building for America’s Bravest, which builds Smart Homes for some of the most gravely injured service members returning home. Each home is custom-designed to fit the unique needs of each individual. Unfortunately, these homes are very expensive and not attainable by most veterans so any donation to the foundation is a huge help.

On top of Building for America’s Bravest, Tunnel to Towers has developed other programs that have helped orphaned children and teenagers, raised money for Haiti earthquake victims, and played a huge role in restoring the lives of families devastated by Hurricane Sandy. These programs have gone above and beyond the scope of charity and have made lasting, concrete changes across the board. We are honored to be able to contribute to something so great.

Bravest-Ceremony-104-X2The Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation was founded on September 11th, 2001 in honor of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller who gave the ultimate sacrifice on that fateful day. That morning, he was finishing up his shift from the night before and was on his way to play golf with his brothers. Stephen got word of the first plane hitting the Twin Towers and he immediately headed towards the scene. The entrance to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel was already closed so he hurled his gear onto his back and walked through the tunnel to arrive at Ground Zero, where he ultimately gave his life saving others. Stephen’s life philosophy was, “while we have time, let us do good” and this foundation is his legacy.

Be sure to show your support for Tunnel to Towers by visiting Lester Glenn Buick GMC in Toms River between September 1st and September 30th and help us make a difference in the lives of people who truly need it.
